Our protagonist, the not-so-kindly police officer. An arrogant bastard who's obsessed with his ex-girlfriend, Paige. He dislikes androids, is against cyborgs, and he's not good with animals, either. Basically, he's not too fond of anything that isn't human. He isn't fond of any of the P.A.C.E.R.s, but he has his reasons for sticking around with them.
Ellipsis [18/f]
An introverted girl who thinks more than she speaks (and what she thinks is often more biting than others may expect). She would rather quietly observe than get involved in things, and is often neutral. Somewhat of a loner, she is usually seen alone, listening to music. Sysreq makes her uncomfortable, but she must try to get him to cooperate with her.
 Nine Bucks [26/m]Is in charge of the Ampersand division of PACER. Cool, assertive and intimidating, Nine is the ultimate leader with style. Very scary when angered. Has a strong sense of honour and justice, and strongly believes that androids deserve the same rights as any living human being. Does not tolerate bad fashion.
Kerberos ("Kerbie") [27/m]
A strange but friendly mechanic, biologist, doctor, and hairstylist... though he simply calls himself an "artist." Has an affinity for marine animals. He is a friend to everyone back at PACER headquarters -- even to Sysreq, who is a little afraid of him.
 Cookie [19/f]A chipper and somewhat hyper girl who likes saying random things. She was diagnosed with a plethora of phychological disorders when she was younger, so she has been dependant on a mental stabilizer ever since. She has to wear it on her head at all times, or else she can't control her emotions.
"Tristan" [3 (looks 18)/m]
An android that used to be a helper/source of entertainment among Feight's family. Because he's young, he can be hyperactive at times and naive. Is in love with Feight, but does he even know what "love" is? The only android member of the Ampersand division of P.A.C.E.R.
 Feight [20/f]
An intelligent girl who was raised in a wealthy household. Is in love with Tristan. She doesn't like Sysreq, because she naturally dislikes anyone who speaks badly of androids and android-human relationships. Cool and mature, she can seem cold at times, but she's rather soft to those she cares about.
Lan Win Nook [16/m]
 The team's computer hacker and research specialist. A very bitter teen who hates life and everything in it. ...Except Nine. He respects Nine so much, he addresses him with "sir." He hates cops, thus he hates Sysreq, and will do anything to get rid of him. He isn't seen very often, as he's usually holed away in his room.
 "Jonelle" [2 (looks 11)/f]
A phantom (humanoid holograph) that represents the main computer network of the Ampersand PACER's headquarters. Created by Kerbie, its form is of a little french girl. Acts sort of like a Microsoft Word helper.
O T H E R S
The leader of the Paladin Unit, a secret radical underground group that works for H.A.S.L. (Humans Against Synthetic Life). Her group is PACER's main enemy, and have attacked various factories and people that contribute to the rising android population. Caret is sly, sexy, and wears shoes that turn into rollerblades. There's a somewhat childish rivalry between her and Nine.
 Verdana Tenpoint Bold [23/f]
Sysreq's bubbly best friend from college. She used to be very sexually active back in those days, but she managed to settle down with two husbands. Called "V" by Sysreq for short, she and Sysreq meet every day at noon to have lunch together. She offers him sage advice as he struggles through life... or, at least, she tries to.
 Paige Downe [28/f]
A moody writer with a New York accent. She's been with Sysreq for two years, but she abruptly ended their relationship for reasons even Sysreq doesn't know yet. She likes plants (as well as throwing them at Sysreq).
 "Abby" [??/f]
A prostitute android. Yes, they are created for this purpose, and are perfectly legal. She and Sysreq don't get along very well, but she has a very sweet and sympathetic personality.
 Sergeant Cedilla [28/f]
Sysreq's supervisor -- could be considered a friend. Cheery and optimistic, but rather blunt.
