completed March 2005 created with Painter 8, Photoshop 7 As a birthday gift, the customer commissioned me to draw her friend's character. Slinky, a hyperactive girl with faerie wings. This was an interesting case where the customer's request went beyond her price range. Slinky normally has many more things stuck in her hair, boots with many buckles, lots of accessories, etc. To compromise, I suggested I take her out of her detailed outfit and put her into a simple nightgown and make it into a scene where she's eating packs of sugar before going to bed. The customer loved the idea, and ended up with this unique and affordable take on the character.
